Mother Satya is a photographic exploration of my grandmother’s ashes ceremony in India. The project highlights the relationship between generations of women in the family and emphasises the connection between myself and my grandmother. The images also explore gender roles in a traditional ashes ceremony and reflect how I perceive my family.
