Mother Satya

Mother Satya is a photographic exploration of my grandmother’s ashes ceremony in India. The project highlights the relationship between generations of women in the family and emphasises the connection between my grandmother and me. The images also explore gender roles in a traditional ashes ceremony and reflect my perception of my family.
